Many of us experience on what we could feel after we grab the pan out of the oven or our hot coffee tumbling down to our lap because we carelessly handed it wrong.

Either minor burns or major burns must give some deeper attention to heal them. However, the minor burns can be treated at home. When a patient has a first degree burn, the skin injured and turn into red. Many of the blood vessels may produce some leaks and damage, that’s why sometimes it caused undesirable appearance and inflammation. The second degree burn can be distinguish through its blister appeared and when it is third degree burn, instead of red, the skin will turn into white which means, the deeper the burn, the lesser the pain you will feel.

To treat a burn, there are some easy steps when a burn takes place and these are the following:

Kill the fire first. When you come at the situation like your dress is on fire, kill the fire first by dropping in the floor and rolling down to kill the fire. If there is a hot object try to remove it from you.

Analyze what is the best time to seek medical assistance. If the burn cannot handle it anymore by your home remedies, that’s the time to seek a medical assistance.

Time to cool down. If you’ve been splash by the hot water throughout your body, make sure to cool it down by putting some cool water to the affected area and don’t put it in full force your faucet to avoid more injury in the skin. So, it’s better to slowly place it in the faucet with the normal flow of the water. You can use also, ice-cold water to minimize the pain you feel and lessen the inflammation.

Don’t ever try to use ice. It doesn’t mean that you have burns, it is good to use ice but we should think about that the ice can restrict the normal circulation of the blood.
Never mind the dirt. If you are very conscious about the dirt of the first degree burn, just wash it with soap and water. Don’t rub but gently wash the affected area to make it clean.
Wrap it up with bandage. Cover it with bandage to make sure that it will not get more damaged from any elements outside.
Don’t ever mind any blisters.  To have a fast recover on your injury, keep away your hands to the blister so that it will not infected and it can give more healing time to recover.

If you have a knowledge how to beat burns but still it you cannot beat the prevention. Some saying says, prevention is better than cure. Get some steps how are you going to protect and assist your child from this kind of the accident like burns.

Keep it out reach of your children.  If your stuff in the house will surely give them a bad experience, make sure to do something that it will easily reach by them and it just for safety purposes. Like while you’re taking your coffee, cooking pan and whatsoever that can easily grab by them.

Have an eye on them. Become more responsible parents to keep your eye on them to protect them from any accident in your home.

Plug it out all electrical wires. Children sometimes they play without thinking what they are playing as long as they can grab on it, so as parents, plug it out those electrical wirings to avoid some incident in electric shocks.

Hide all the matches. All the flammable stuff like lighters, or matches must keep reach out in the children eye, because the more they are conscious in that stuff the more they will try to use it and play on it.

Have a fire distinguishers at home. For safety purposes and to protect our property from any damages, you must buy and have your own fire distinguisher every household and explain to your children that these thing will use if there is a fire.

Practice to turn off stove after use. Don’t try to play your children in the stove and discourage them to use it if they will try to use.
